Founded in 1938, Historic jazz club Minton’s is known for its role in the development of modern jazz, where musicians including Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie pioneered bebop. It’s on the first floor of a building that once housed the Cecil Hotel and now serves as the restaurant Cecil.
