For our fourth year running, our friends from El Barrio Bikes are returning to lead us for Hot Chocolate Rides — when we’ll sample some of the Uptown’s best hot chocolate and hot drinks, plus share ride tips for winter weather.

From traditional Mexican hot chocolate at Atla’s Conchas, to Cotita’s hot chocolate at Indomable (formerly Don Alejo) Coffee, to Sugar Hill Creamery‘s blow-torched, marshmallow-topped version, our first ride will take us on a tour of East Harlem small businesses for sweet treats and to learn the stories behind the storefronts on Small Business Saturday weekend.

Our second ride will take us across Central Harlem, from truffle mecca Harlem Chocolate Factory, to new Pakistani chai spot Kaafi, to Ecuadorian-owned Guayusa Cafe.

Our last ride of the season will take us to the hills of Washington Heights and Inwood, and we’ll be headed to Buunni Coffee, Five Flies Coffee and Salento Colombian Kitchen.

No bike? No worry. We’re able to provide both bikes and helmets thanks to Citi Bike and the NYC Department of Transportation. Register here.
